The Brief
Turning a 6-meter challenge into an architectural statement.
Villa Horizon was conceived as a direct architectural response to a site where the original ground level could not provide the desired open views. Rather than compromising the main living spaces, the program was reorganized vertically: a six-meter-high base accommodates garages, technical areas, and essential services, while the villa begins above it at an elevated residential level. The main challenge was connecting these levels through a large number of steps without creating a purely functional staircase. It was therefore developed as a sculptural arrival sequence—integrated with the façade and landscape—to give the villa a distinctive sense of movement, scale, and luxury.
